IRIS Zimbabwe

IRIS Zimbabwe is a proposed Portal 9 public-safety modernization initiative designed to help Zimbabwe strengthen law-enforcement training, improve internal departmental processes, and rebuild public trust through human-first artificial intelligence and immersive VR technology.

IRIS would provide realistic, locally relevant training simulations focused on communication, de-escalation, professional conduct, decision-making, ethics, community engagement, and leadership, while using AI-assisted evaluation and analytics to identify opportunities for individual and institutional improvement.

The initiative would begin with a controlled pilot developed collaboratively with Zimbabwean leadership and subject-matter experts, with the long-term goal of creating a measurable, responsible, and scalable platform that helps officers train better, leaders make better-informed decisions, departments continuously improve, and communities see tangible evidence of progress.
